Well Secret Wars was their absolute perfect opportunity to Zero Hour in any changes they wanted to make to be more like the movies, and they just ignored it.

They could have merged Fury with Ultimate Fury, changed everyone to have their movie origins and costumes, brought back dead characters, deaged old characters and teens, but instead they did nothing because they're afraid of gaining DC's reputation for "rebooting".

No. They should have waited until Secret Wars to bring Ultimate Fury over.

Fury Jr would have been fine if writers besides Slott actually used him. The character is useless and he doesn't even act like Ultimate Fury or have the nuances that made him great.

Just do a storyline where Ultimate Fury somehow survived Secret Wars, comes to 616, kills and replaces Jr, and tries to tsk over Shield.

It seems kind of pointless considering how little I see Jr around. And it's not like he's slowly been moving up the ranks to be someone that would take charge of SHIELD. But looking at a silver lining I guess getting rid of Fury or having him disappear keeps him from being involved with all the stupid shit they've had SHIELD do lately. And I appreciate that.
