If it is Tommy I'm kind ahappy about him being back, but I think it's a big red flag at how the writers are trying to make Arrow like it used to be.

Rather than writing stories that make sense and characters that don't constantly make dumb decisions, it seems like they said "oh, people like Arrow season 1 and 2? Then we'll bring back Tommy, Roy, Laurel maybe, and have Oliver kill again just like season 1!"

This. They have months to plan the premier. We know arrow writers are lazy and just throw idea at the last minutes and let the story grow organically. If the season turned out to be good, I'll binge watch it. But I'm not gonna waste my Wednesday night for arrow ever again.

They're already in the fast lane to fucking it up. This episode was good because Ollie was front and center. He doesn't need a fucking team. It should just be Ollie and Speedy or Arsenal at most with an occasional tie in or three episode arc with Black Canary. With Sportsmaster/MadDog and Mr. Terrific heavily implied and the Black Canary impersonator confirmed before the season even started, Arrow will be back to "spinning, spinning, duck, spinning, duck, jump" in no time.
