I think it was a sometimes used element of the character when he was originally Robin, though some writers went with the idea and others didn't. Jason was an inconsistent character.

I find it a little disturbing that Lobdell of all people is writing Artemis fairly well, and isn't falling back on the old trap of "ME AMAZON RAAAARGH". He must've talked to one or more of the people who have written runs she was in.

Like seriously, did he actually read Artemis: REQUIEM or something?
