It's faster, which usually means cheaper for the editors and safer for the artists. If you can work 2 pages a day, you can work more comics at the same time.

I would say that, in that case, it's just a matter of the comic being based on some sort of animated show (I'm not into animated shows).

And of course, there's style also. Which some people take as bad art just because they don't like said style.

Anatomy means shit, if it doesn't work for your style you can ignore it. It's just a matter of liking the art or not.
Personally, I don't like Ramos' art much, but I wouldn't say he is not skilled.
