Honestly because it drawn unless it says otherwise my brain puts it into the category of 18 years old. Im not atracted to 14 year olds and I watch the show because I like the characters behind the illustrations and the soundtracks not for shipping. That said I cant help but cheer for some ships because Marco remind me of highschool me, the guy who could have a harem if only he weren't a combination of oblivious, akward, and probably a little bit sexually confused.

Ludo's definitely become way more interesting to me in Season 2, and this is coming from someone who actually kind of liked the character in Season 1 (his routine of letting his minions get beat up and then just shouting various insults from the sidelines as they limp back into the portal was pretty funny). They've done a good job showing him regaining power in a way that seems fitting for him, and making what most fans called a shit character last year one of the stronger parts of the show.

But Toffee is more interesting to me due to the mystery still surrounding him and how fans are speculating on it even now. While we don't know all the specifics of Ludo's plan, it's clear he's currently trying to get the spellbook then attack the Mewmans. Still not 100% clear if Toffee's alive or dead or in the wand, or how any of these scenarios would tie into his larger plan, or what his larger plan even is.

Also I think Toffee's character was helped by making him so much more serious and respected by other characters than Ludo ever was. Ludo's more intimidating now but is still played as kinda jokey, which seems to be implying he's not going to end up the main threat.

We still he still lived in the castle as a child, so he probably just inherited it from his parents.

In season 2, we see that there is a food shortage in the monster population. Meanwhile, even though he lives in a desolate wasteland, Ludo is so sheltered when he saw a fish he referred to it as "sushi," so he probably never experienced a day of hardship in his life before his castle got kaboom'd.

Ludo mentions that he "saved" Buff Frog from a life in the swamp, and that he took in Deer Beard off the street. So it's more likely that monsters only worked for Ludo because getting beat up and then going home to a warm bed and a milkshake was better than starving in the wilderness and having to eat rat porridge made out of who knows what.

I think he's currently the better villain; Toffee was never really that menacing or evil.
Ludo is always gonna have a bit of a sillyness to him, it's inherent to his character.
The most recent episodes have made me see him as a villain, which I didn't think was going to be possible earlier this season (the episode where he takes over the rat bar, I thought it was a mistake to try and make him a serious villain. Is Mystery totally changed my mind).

My opinions on Toffee may be colored by the fact that a certain namefag spoiled the twist for me, which took out any sort of suspense or intrigue for me.

I've just started watching this show. I actually caught the premiere episode but I was kind of turned off. Fortunately, I just decided to give it another chance and I think it's pretty great
