I disagree actually. Oliver was too angry and overly aggressive in every scene, Thea becoming Speedy in one scene and then quitting again in literally the next scene was terrible, no Diggle, flashbacks were barely average, and Curtis was surprisingly annoying. The Tobias Church scenes being genuinely good clouded people's judgement of the rest of the episode.

Flash, however, even though it was an absolute waste of Flashpoint was a ton of fun "reintroducing the characters", Barry was well-written, Wally was at his most likeable, the Reverse Flash scene were aggressively melodramatic/campy in the best way. The only downside was another fucking speedster villain and of course wasting Flashpoint, but as standalone episodes, Flash was better than Arrow.

The thing I hated the most about the past 2 seasons isn't even all the Felicity spotlighting, it's how awful the fight choreography had gotten, but this episode gave me new hope. Hopefully they keep the same people who worked on it all through the season and the writing remains semi-decent since this show isn't gonna win an oscar or anything but if it goes back to season 1 levels of hype then it's fine by me.
