Is there any reason to have a shutter speed that fast or ISO that high? Presumably it was shot in a studio so there's no shortage of lighting. Is there something specific about high ISO that actually causes those blemishes to become more visible or would a lower ISO/slower shutter at the same exposure do that too?

I think she's somewhere in her late 30s. It's interesting though as he apparently expresses great regret about failing his first marriage. It's also kinda funny; it isn't mentioned much in the show but Picard was supposed to be in his mid 60s at the time of TNG. By the time of ST:O he's just short of 100.
