Felicity's issue is that everyone goes 'holy shit Felicity is sooooo awesome and selfless' despite not going through a lot of trauma compared to the other characters. (Even after she was shot she still managed to get up and walk around afterwards.)

Whereas Clare is shown to be a good nurse and while she can defend herself to a certain extent, she still gets beaten up and it's obvious that the shit she went through left an impact on her. Karen, while she tries to do the right thing, fucks up and there are consequences but no one goes 'awww Karen. :(' Even fucking Skye in Agents of Shield got some damned good character development and she she went through the damned ringer.
