Boy. This movie had so many good ideas for scenes, but the execution is just painfully bad.

Honestly. I'm a huge fantasy fan but this movie was just painfully poorly executed. The art style is cool enough, but the voice acting and dialogue can be so poor that it feels like a freshman student project more than a feature film.

That scene you linked could have been so good; the premise was great, but the execution was piss poor.

I found that "It's Such a Beautiful Day" helpful in coping with the idea of death being the ultimate end and extinction of your consciousness.

The film has a what-if epilogue that shows the alternative and it's actually much more horrifying and awful than the idea of oblivion.

The horror of never having your consciousness die is illustrated in that he goes on forever while literally all matter and sense of time surrounding him vanishes.

It ends with Bob willing himself to stop thinking because the eternal isolation is so nightmarish.
