that's the case for myself, I have High Functioning Autism(enough that I can pass for somewhat normal), and I can't stand being around people with mental disabilities that are particularly noticeable(one of my best friends has Asperger's but like with me his is barely noticeable) , but I do feel bad about it(since most of them are nice people even if they are irritating)

man I was lucky, despite having Autism myself, I managed to avoid extremely noticeable Special Needs kids for almost my entire K-12 experience(most of the special needs classes I was in instead mostly had it's students be one of the following; 1. kids with relatively minimal issues like mine that were mostly normal, 2. various troublemaker kids, and 3. kids who didn't have English as a first language)
