What went wrong?

Why did they even need a CGI costume? A CGI cape like in man of steel, maybe, but an entire costume built up from nothing? Who was the genius behind that decision?

He gave across a total dick, compared to Sinestro.

On the plus side, we got a likeable pre-villain Sinestro. He was a good teacher.

Hammond was the only good part of the movie and should've been the main antagonist. Actually the aliens were good too. Sinestro and Killowog were great.

movie was beyond average.

script got fucked with too much to the point where it made no fucking sense.

two different storylines got smushed together bc wb made horrible decisions with the script.

parallax was a dumb idea and should never have been introduced so early (or defeated so easily).

as much as i like her as an actress, blake lively was the wrong choice for carol ferris.

movie focused too much on earth. should have had hal go to space and stay there, fight some space battle on Oa to solidify the idea of the Corps and what they stand for.

hamond was OK but only really works for an earth-based plot. sinestro was very good. i literally cannot see anyone else playing a better sinestro than marc.

overall it was just a convoluted mess. they tried to do too much at once. wb interfered too much (as always) and turned it into a shitshow. if you view the original script before wb fucked with it you'll see that it was much better and would have made probably a solid 8/10 movie, possibly 9/10 with a better director.

oh, and the soundtrack was possibly the worst soundtrack ever made for a movie. ever.
