What did /co/ think of the Peanuts movie?
>>86734780
pretty fateful adaptation all things considered
one might think the ending is too happy, but at least it was earned
The animation was god-tier.
aw fuck, it came out? I saw a trailer once and never heard about it again
Makes me wonder how many movies have suffered the same fate
I loved it.
We need more stuff like that on tv.
I enjoyed it a lot. I think mmmmmaybe they spent a bit too much time on the Snoopy vs Red Baron stuff, but that's the biggest complaint I have.

I remember seeing an ad for a film with an unforgettable quote, but i never actually saw it
Guess most of us are waiting for it to go on tv but forget it
>the quote was "Its hard to concentrate on my porn with all this real sex going on"
Hysterical quote but cant even name the film ):
advertising is a funny thing
Pretty good
It takes the one thing I hate most about Peanuts and does the opposite.
>>86734780
Incredibly comfy. Can't remember the jokes but I remember laughing a lot. I liked the main theme. Would recommend
Only liked by those who never watched Peanuts in their lives.
>>86737204
How about those who read it?
It was really good and I regret not seeing it in theaters and giving it my money.
I feel like because of that, the studio knew it would always have to rely on Ice Age for quick cash.
>>86734780
I think going by this thread I need to watch it
>>86734780
it didn't really feel like a charlie brown movie to me. Think its mostly because he acted out of character, but I guess that was the point of the movie.
>>86734780
really good quality, but it was missing that classic CB feel.
overall fine movie.
>>86734780
I enjoyed it a lot. It felt faithful like an adaptation should.
>>86734780
It was fine and all but the Snoopy parts were so much better than the main plot.
>>86738682
I think that was the point
for him to get out of his typical "life is always out to get me, oh woe is me" attitude, he needed a reason for it.
I have to say out of almost 66 years of him being the punching bag, the ending was a great breath of fresh air
>>86738750
It's weird that people act as if this is CB's first victory. There's plenty of movies and specials that ended with him winning.
>>86735281
Google says its from the movie No Strings Attatched
>>86737848
Nah, the film was a success and FOX said they'd love to do more but Schulz's widow wisely only allowed them to do one movie, instead of them just having the film rights period. The ball's completely in her court instead of letting the studio rush a sequel just for the hell of it.
It was great, a must watch for fans of the comics. Now just make a Peppermint Patty movie of the same quality and i can die happy
>>86734780
I liked how it imitated stuff from the old cartoons and the comic with CG.
Hated that fucking pube hair on his head.
Great adaptation, faithful, funny, cute, great music. The ending made me cry like a pussy.
>>86739129
>The film was a success
>>86739233
that would be such a deligtfully depressing experience.
>>86734780
Kinda felt like a clip show of something that should have been given a lot of small episodes. They referenced so many things from the comics and past Peanuts specials, that no one element got the time it really deserved.
>>86740211
Made about 2.5x the budget, that seems enough to call a success to me, maybe not on the level of their other movies but money is money.
These threads always have the /co/ntratian posers who think they "know" Peanuts, it's very bizarre to see them act so elitist about it.
>>86734780
Iliked it.
>>86742021
I bet a good load of them have only seen the christmas and halloween specials.
I've been reading the comics and watching the cartoons my entire life. The movie was very faithful and tastefully done.
>>86734780
It was just a lame compilation of everything you had seen before in the TV/Holiday specials. Really, that movie was just something to introduce your kids who probably never even heard of the Peanuts before. Especially the holiday specials, and all the great monologues in "A boy named Charlie Brown". Those were way better then this movie.
I totally snored through the Snoopy v Red Baron sub plot.
Cute but underwhelming
If it's a MOVIE, make it a MOVIE
Know what I mean?
Take the Spongebob movie. That was not just an extended episode. That actually felt like a dramatic movie adaptation.
>>86734780
One of the most faithful movie adaptions I've ever seen. Everything about it was Peanuts to the core, even that celebrity song didn't feel all that out of place. It's ending felt like the best possible closure for the series too.
>>86743724
The Snoopy vs Red Baron parts seemed like they were trying to do that. Honestly, how else would you make Peanuts "epic"? Even the original four movies weren't that dramatic.
>>86734780
8/10 desu
Good
Pretty comfy
>>86735235
The Snoopy segments were good but I feel like they should've been done a lot differently.
At least have Fifi be the Little Red Haired Girl's dog so he's not spending the whole movie chasing an imaginary girl.
I'm glad they remembered that Lucy and CB are friends
>>86737031
What was that?
>>86734780
Pretty good. The drawbacks were perfect.
