I can't see that working. Dexter's conflicts are usually caused by the world hating him, or DeeDee. Dexter in Jimmy's world would only have, what, Jimmy's dad fucking up his work? Either Dexter sees far less conflict, or Hugh becomes a far more obnoxious person.
Jimmy's conflicts usually stem from his own failings, on the other hand, so DeeDee suddenly feels unnecessary. I'm not sure how Jimmy's new parents would react to a lab, or if Jimmy could keep rebuilding it every few days like Dexter.

If the Cheese Ray actually worked like that, none of the Jimmy Neutron episodes would have happened the way they did. There would be literally no conflict in like 90% of the episodes, since anything bothering Jimmy could be turned to cheese. Professor Calamitous terrorizing the town? Turn his machines into cheese. Robotic building destroying everything? Cheese Ray it. Alien invasion? Cheese Ray.

Either the Cheese Ray isn't all it's cracked up to be, or Jimmy is the dumbest genius to ever live (which I honestly wouldn't doubt.)

My honest opinion. I think DeeDee at first glace would like Johnny Test. Almost immediately, DeeDee would get annoyed with the whip cracks, and lower quality animation. In the end she would miss the fun Dexter's experiments bring to the table, and realize Johnny is a walking 90's soda and candy advertisement.

I think Dexter would take longer to clash with the Test sisters. They would go through half a day in the lab working, before the Test sister start testing their experiments on Dexter. I'm sure it will end with Dexter getting fed up with the Tester sisters infatuation with Gil Nextdoor, and realizing he never put up that bullshit with DeeDee.

I think in the end DeeDee and Dexter would end up missing each other and realize how good they had it.
