I feel like this ship should work, it has all the elements of them working well together. I just really don't like the Red Room romance backstory since they were both being mindfucked and stripped of their humanity at that part of their lives and Brubaker tried to write that as romantic. The fact that they continued on with that relationship after just made it weirder, and the way it ended was awkward as fuck. Now they're looking to bring it back and I really wish they wouldn't.

Keeping Bucky after Reborn was a mistake.

No, but Kots clearly was while writing that trash. Rudy's art was good but didn't really help make sense of what the fuck was going on that entire run. There were also several pages done by an awful fill in artist that didn't match Rudy's style at all, dragging the quality overall down.

Nah, there really isn't anything edgy about Bucky beyond his Winter Soldier aesthetic. Jason is all about being the black sheep of the bat family and trying to be Frank Castle in his methods and is motivated by revenge for how the world screwed him over. His fans are the fuck you, dad!! types.

Bucky is all about shouldering too much guilt and taking on too much responsibility and trying to move on from his past and making Steve proud of him. His fans are more the aww poor baby types.
