Given the disposition of what I assume is her family at the end of the teaser trailer, I'd guess they actually want her back. But, they're probably abusive or at least just bad people, which is probably what led to Kitty being so mentally unhinged that she's now acting like a cat. going by what we know, Kitty (and assuming her parent[s]) were chased out in the middle of the night by the three gooons; something happens happens to her parents (juding by the rainny setting, probably killed) in which case her mind activates cat mode, because her love for cats is her safe place.

Then the three goons are probably after her, either because of can't have a witness, or somewhere on her being is the reason her parents were targeted

Now why doesn't the three just grab Kitty from the cat? Obviously they have a cat allergy.

Japan is the worlds animation expert. at one point, they were doing the animation for the west. They pump out 60% of the globes total animation.

Huh, so I found the video to one of the songs in the teaser, which I can only assume was animated by the same guy who led the animation in the cartoon. Found some interesting similarities.

Things I found that the animator reused: Record player, speaker set (seen in the back at 0:59 in the cartoon teaser), the cats playing drums and guitars are the same save for their heads, the birds are the same, and of course pic related. Possibly more that I didn't notice. The music video doesn't really have much going on in it to begin with really.

I guess it's not the biggest deal in the world, just reusing a few assets from the animator's 5 year old music video. But it does feel really lazy to not just redraw those few things. It's already flash animated, you couldn't spend a few minutes more on these things?
