>Marvel and Sony entertained linking "The Amazing Spider-Man" to the Marvel Cinematic Universe by featuring Stark Tower in the movie and OsCorp Tower in "The Avengers", but couldn't line up the schedules. It is also allegedly why there were so many cranes in the finale of "The Amazing Spider-Man", they'd be rebuilding the city after the Chitauri invasion.
Kind of a missed opportunity, tbqh. Andrew Garfield was great in the role and I'd like to see him interacting with the Avengers.

I'd prefer Garfield to be Spider-Man.
Since he's already an adult out of highschool. Plus, I think he pulls of the sarcastic humor of Spidey better. He'd most likely spend less time fan boy-ing around in civil war too.

ASM2 wasn't an awful Spider-Man movie, though. It was damn good at that. It was just a shit movie.
