The only difference between Sam and Rich is thst Sam tends to stay optimistic about all the shit that happens to him while Rich was a depression train spiraling towards oblivion (he was even OK while trying to get back his powers at ine point).

Of course despite everything Sam has his mom and sister and a shitty but still there support system from heroes, Rich had his brother but his parents are shit and once he went to space and came back post-Civil War he was alone.

But Rich is coming back so I guess they can be miserabke together, Sam cheers him up, Rich beats up anyone that tries shitting on them, they'll at least be somewhat better.

DeFalco wasn't even popular when Spider-Girl was being published, besides the MC2 universe was suppose to be over a long time ago when Spider-Girl ended.

Spider-Girl survived only because of her fanbase and because Marvel kept the book because it had decents sales until the end when it didn’t , Miles survives because he has Marvel's support, variant cover gimmicks, and he's Bendis' pet all of which bring sales.

Even Sam who has shit sales is still being kept alive by Marvel and they will bring Rich have him in a comic with Sam just to have more people buy a comic with Sam and promote the character.

Now Anya is a character that Marvel wanted to succeed but they didn’t much care about her when she started selling like shit, she wasn't anyones pet and no one gave enough shit about her so her sales went down

Same here and if he's back it's going to be fun especially since Rich is kind of shit at being a mentor especially since he's a risk taker who tends to wing it as he goes along and probably will try to give Sam the "Do as I say not as I do" speech.

I mean even when he had those other Nova members in probation he sucked at teaching them and had that one other Nova vet (I forgot his name) put them into shape instead.

With Sam I guess he's going to do his best to protect him especially since space is full of horrors and shit and Rich wouldn't want Sam to experience even a tiny fraction of what he had to. The current run has its moments. Nova #8 was good and Nova #9 is one of my favorite single issues of the year of any publisher.

But the general issue with Ryan's run is that he very clearly didn't read the last volume so there's a lot of contradictions, supporting characters suddenly disappearing and new ones that they pretend have always been there taking their place, and retreading of plotlines. If you didn't read volume 5, Ryan's run isn't good enough to win you over and if you did read volume 5 then you're just going to be pissed at all the continuity mistakes while reading it.

Nova #8-9 though are definitely worth reading at least.

The show is worth watching even with all the heavy shonen anime tropes, it also does justice to some of the characters like Hank Pym for example the Anime touches on his insecurity problems and his low self esteem, the Avengers being iffy about him, even the whole Ultron thing.

It also has a lot of c-list villains and it doesn't care about movie synergy so it's something new.
