The writer is chinese and the first story arc is called "made in china." The story is aware that they are knockoffs. I hope they end up as cool characters and kinda twist what we usually automatically think of a knockoff.

Plus, i just think their costumes are color coded fun and have matching styles so the justice league will look pretty consistent.

That's the point. Super-Man actually calls them out on it saying China doesn't need a knock of Justice League because they have the Great 10. The Great 10 showed up in the last Days of Superman story which was also a prelude to this so I'm sure they will show up. Probably in the second arc
