Honestly, I'm happy for it. They seem to be exploring Rapunzel's adjustment to royal life, which seems interesting. And I like Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi.

Frozen was a freak storm. It's something that was accidental and can't be easily replicated.

No one gave a shit about it when it was released around November. Then a freak snowstorm hit America. It was winter break and students were out. No proper competition in the theaters, if I recall correctly. Normies made jokes about the snow storm and Elsa in social media. Catchy song. Word of mouth. Disney then doubled its efforts after it suddenly became popular, immediately releasing sing-a-long versions of the movie. Merchandise was then everywhere.

It had a really mediocre story, but with the situation it had, it miraculously became popular.

Zootopia was saved by its writing and CGI and word of mouth. It had shitty marketing and promotion, and from the limited promotion it had it seemed like they angled it like it was Disney's demo reel for their new software. And even though it got really successful, it didn't reach Frozen heights, which is good in my opinion. It was also extremely popular outside of the US (I personally don't think it's that big in the US).

Winnie the Pooh also got one, though this was much earlier than the others.
