Except, it isn't really jobbing if no one could realistically expect you to win in the first place. Even with all of his gadgets, Wile E. is something of a wimp who is way in over his head. Jobbing does not mean failing. Jobbing means failing in circumstances where you really should have won. Or better yet, consistently failing in circumstances where you should have won.

Wile E. Coyote is expected to fail, and is frequently in circumstances where he should have failed. Half of the time the Road Runner isn't even present when one of Wile E. Coyote's brilliant ideas (often literally) blows up in his face. Wile E. is a chronic fuck up who usually defeats himself. Failure is expected from the very outset.

A jobber is someone who always loses in every appearance. Originally jobbers were local no names who were paid to wrestle one match against the star. Later it turned into guys permanently on the roster who acted as warm bodies to fill in non story driven matches and lose against more popular guys or build up the up and comers.

Worfed is when you get built up into a badass then lose to the bad guy to set him up instantly as a threat. Vegeta and Piccolo do this constantly.
