Is anyone else just tired of South Park? I've been watching the show on and off pretty much since episode 1 and even know last season was incredible, I just can't care anymore. I've been watching this show for years and I can't say it was meaningful to me, contrast with King Of The Hill which I've seen at least 70% of the episodes and I feel my time with it was very meaningful.

Nope, I have a lot of feels towards South Park like you do towards KoTH. I'll be caring until it ends, and for being on the air for 20 years it says a lot about the creators/studio for actually putting effort into their series to this day.

I admit though for a couple of years I did stop caring (literally after You're Getting Old) but after seeing the hype here for the Tweek x Craig ep I started to watch the series again and last season definitely got me back into it. I saw the love in that episode and how they actually tried to do something different throughout the season.

It's been there, throughout my whole life. I can't just abandon the series when it seems to be picking back up.

It's the same for me mostly. South Park lost it's charm when it started focusing more and more on Randy who I really liked as a goofy dad but not at all as how he is currently where he randomly joins things new jobs and hobbies. He starting to become Peter Griffin. Things like him being Lorde wasn't funny and that joke being repeatd thoughout the season made it worse. Tweek x Craig caught my interest and I just really liked the episode and wanted to see more of the season. Tweek and Craig were my favorite side characters and I can't not root for them to be happy. The way the fanartist weren't insulted as much as they could have been but were actually handled respectfully was very nice as well.

Take a quick look back on the way homosexuality is portrayed in South Park- homosexual people and homosexual actions are used for comedic effect, gags about felchers and lisps.
This shows how Matt and Trey feel, while gay men are relatively harmless they're also irrelevant to normal people and pretty silly/frivolous.
They didn't fucking turn 180 and start "shipping" their underage characters ala those creeps working on Steven Tumblrverse.

Big Gay Al was more than fair for it's day, stereotype or not. Positive gay characters were incredibly rare 20 years ago. Big Gay Al's boat ride was one of the first episodes so they risked a lot with it. Nowadays every show tries to have a token gay couple (which according to the commentary is what they were trying to parody in Tweek x Craig) so it doesn't look as risky as it was. South Park also had a gay marriage episode pretty early (Follow that egg! in 2005)

I loved South Park up until the 16th season and up. I'm not sure if it's because Trey and Matt were focusing more on Stick of Truth but the quality of humor seems to have downgraded since then. Some of the jokes seem forced and bland. Hopefully next season will be more promising but I feel like they've lost there mojo that made the show hilarious.

Honestly, I got an advanced copy of the first game which I enjoyed a lot, but after having played it I was surprised people paid so goddamn much. It was fun, there really wasn't enough content to be charging what they were, and the game itself felt really unpolished in some places. I'm not even sure I would even wanna buy fractured but whole until unbought reviews come out, or there's a huge price drop.
