The sad thing is, despite both of them being objectively worse people than Caitlin, both Crystal and Louise are way more sympathetic than she is.

Crystal is a homely permavirgin who gets powers and snaps because nobody ever loved her, and Louise is a her jealous ex-friend who blames herself for Crystal's death and effectively commits suicide to pretend Crystal is still alive.

They might not feel bad about hurting people, but they have a deeper motivation for what they do. They feel a lot more human than Caitlin's manufactured sympathetic story does.

Hitch being bad I think is a fair complaint and to someone who hasn't read the relevant comics it could seem like movie stuff creeping in rather than what it is (rehashing a story that was done in the comics pre-Flashpoint for the new timeline). DC will probably sell the Judas Contract rehash in the same way.

Have to accept that these crossovers will become commonplace with the double-shipped titles. It's good if you want to take a break from a book for a month or so though.

Crystal Frost, who became the first Killer Frost.

She was a homely bitter permavirgin that had a crush on Martin Stein, then got caught in a cold fusion experiment and became a sexy ice vampire. She used her powers to murder men because she hated them for not fucking her.

Her powers were unstable and eventually started killing her, so she went to her best friend from college for help, Louise Lincoln. Crystal died though.

Louise started going crazy because she blamed herself for Crystal's death. Even though Louise was hot she was jealous of Crystal being smarter than her so she emotionally put Crystal down to destroy her confidence. Louise eventually recreated Crystal's experiment to kill herself, then when she got the same powers, started dressing like Killer Frost and pretending Crystal was still alive.


Then New 52 happened and Louise was the inventor of the reactor (Crystal didn't exist,) but was killed by HIVE for getting too close or something. Caitlin was her replacement and accidentally got the Killer Frost powers. It sucked.
