I don't know if it's good that it sticks more to the new series than deviates.

It's like watching a movie based on a series and the movie is basically a highlight reel of the show.

Suit looks cool though but looks not so good under the brown filter.

Those designs are fantastic but the drama of the first half of the trailer seems shit.

I hope theres more of the organisation i forget the name of in the film then the trailer i loved the way max worked alongside them in the show and they were auctualy useful during invasions sort of like the transformers films (although hopefully not quite so overused)

Max Steel is a 90s cartoon. Josh McGrath got into an accident and was healed with the turbo stuff giving him Max Steel powers and being a secret agent on the side since when he went turbo his hair went from blond to brown and with muscles. Josh McGrath is a college student and into extreme sports but eventually they kinda wiped that character out. He had to get juiced up and parents hated that so eventually that got taken away too making his powers adrenaline fueled. The new one has A character named Max McGrath team up with the alien machine steel because he has so much of the damn energy and Steel helps regulate it as long as they aren't unfused for more than like 8hrs. The two are so damn different that it's easy to never know the franchise is pretty old now unlike the other things like gi joe, tmnt, and transformers that have dozens of versions but remain mostly the same.

Fun Fact: The keikaku king himself Greg Weisman was the main story editor and show overseer for the first season, as well as writer of the show bible which was used for the first two seasons.

Another Fun Fact: The first two seasons of Max Steel hold up better then you'd think. It's corny and faux-90's "radical" as hell, but honestly if you look past that it's a pretty solid teenage spy story that has a solid narrative throughline for the first two seasons.

The third season is fucking terrible though.

You know what bothers me about the new max steel? The plot holes.

If Naught is supposed to be a full robot, then Dredd basically went from being able to create artifical intelligence to being so retarded he can't even make robots that don't blow up with turbo energy until half the season.

If he's a cyborg, why the fuck did he stay with Dredd? He could upgrade himself and made that radar thing, he could obviously become rich without Dredd's involvement.

How did max's mom become the CEO of transhuman industries? Can a goverment organization just appointment out of the blue like that? Dredd was clearly the owner and Naught was the chairman.

How the fuck did the power copying mutant become MAYOR? Common people are clearly aware of who the bad guys are, did everyone just go "yeah, let's vote for the guy that almost killed the guy who has saved us like thirty times"?
