Why is South Park better than Family Guy?

Because it doesn't rely on shock value to get a laugh.

Wasn't as quick for the drop in quality to be seen by the naked eye.

It's funny.

They change characters and actually feel like the jokes evolve overtime, sadly it makes the older episodes that aren't god tier not so funny.

Because there's actually substance behind the crude humour in South Park.
Because after 3 seasons South Park didn't get canned then come back as a caricature of what it originally was.
Because Seth Macfarlane doesn't understand satire and when he tries to poke fun at something it usually comes across as mean spirited without actually saying anything
