We still need to see costume changes on Shazam, Cyborg, Black Adam. We need to see Catwoman switch sides, Metropolis rebuilt, Batgirl and Batwoman's absence from the game explained, Raven to turn red and it would be nice if there was a Zod or Scorpion cameo. Not many issues left, the plot should have been pushed forward instead of filler issues where nothing happened and adaptations of cutscenes from the game.

Well Metropolis, Ares and the Jokerz gang are being covered in the annual and costume changes aren't super important (or consistent, in the game everyone has their Regime costumes right away). Selina left the Insurgency so it would really only take a reveal page of to get her officially in the Regime. I think Babs and Kate are the most major thing to not be covered yet. Raven in game really isn't important enough to cover this late, though they could cover it in the I2 comic. They do have to explain why Dr.Fate is back and he went to the same place as Trigon so they could do that in a flashback.

How was Dick Grayson at the birthday party with Alfred, and also up in the Watchtower?

I wish Bane had got the same character exploration that Sinestro got in Year 2.

When Zues gave Billy Batson his powers back, that should have been the moment for his costume change. Black Adam should have changed costumes after his fight with Superman. Maybe Superman burns his hair off or something. Cyborg could have been changed either after Gordon tears his face off, or after Batman and Babs hack him. Raven could have turned red during her absence.

There should have been an annual or issue where Zod escapes the phantom zone, claims to be not so different from Superman, and Superman snaps his neck.

I think Catwoman deserves more than a single page reveal. Maybe Superman saves her life? Promises to stop chasing Batman if she helps him with something?

I think that's supposed to be the key difference between Injusticeverse and the regular one. The heroes all lack the courage and strength of character that make them able to withstand this sort of thing. Supes went insane with grief, Diana is controlled by her emotions, Barry and Hal are cowards and even Bruce who is supposed to be the hero here becomes completely desperate and paranoid by the end.

I think the big thing is that Supes could have been pulled back from the abyss several times, but characters actions or inactions pushed him further in.

The two big players were Bruce and Diana. Bruce could have done the right thing and killed the Joker instead of caring more about him, which would have averted the whole situation. Also you had a few times where Supes actually has a moment of clarity to realize he's being a tyrant. But usually there's Bruce or someone who is against him to see it as a moment of weakness and opportunity to punch him in the face.

Although the worst one was Diana who on several occasions pushed Supes to be a mega dick. The worst one was when J'onn was doing his Vulcan mind meld with him and showing Supes that he also suffered immense loss and when Supes was starting to realize what he was doing was wrong. Diana flies in and punches J'onn out.

That's why the gimmick of the Injustice universe is that it's clearly that everyone is less of a hero than normal, not just Supes and the Regime. If it was just him everyone would have done all they could to bring him back from the brink, hell I think even normal universe Bruce would have done something to deal with the Joker permanently after that. Maybe not kill him but something more than just completely sticking to his rule so blindly. In order for the universe to work pretty much every major player has to be a fuck up in some capacity that they aren't normally.
