Just watched this today, that shit was so weird. I was not expecting a Disney style song and dance number at all.

All the Babs stuff before the adaptation started wasnt as bad as /co/ seems to think, but it did feel really out of place juxtaposed with the rest of the film.

it is, but the cutaway and the difference in pacing and lighting made it feels like it was on stage in front of a auditorium, and then they jump right back to the train ride. it felt disjointed and didnt flow with the rest of the scene.

People had all sorts of expectations for the song.
Hell that was always going to be its biggest problem people have so many difrent interpretations of certain scenes you will piss off a significant portion of your viewers.

One thing i will note is opinions of the closing moments likely had something to do with coloring. The headlights are far more prominent in the original then the recolor so those who have only seen the recolor were likely not as bothered by it. (I know i did not understand why people were making such a big deal of them until i saw the original)

If you mean you have not read the comic in general its called the killing joke and its an excelent comic characterised by arguing over which coloring was better (there both pretty shit (im probably the only one who thinks that though)) arguing over if joker raped barbra (he dident and its pretty much just the sjws that think he did) and arguing over if batman killed the joker at the end (it is auctualy a little open to interpretation but the writer makes it clear he did not)
Also the recolor has a random backup at the end for some reason.
