Is Spider-Man Season 1 a good modern interpretation of the origin of mainstream (616) Spidey so I can launch myself to other good stories throughout his history? A friend told me Parallel Lives would also be a solid start but I want to know /co/ suggests.

Here you go senpai, this is generally considered the Go-to list for Spider-Man books

Most of the season one books i have read are boring and basic retellings of origin stories if thats what your looking for then go for it but personally i think pic related is a fantastic starting point if you want to start reading spidey

Don't read Spider-Man, 70% of it is shit.

Is reading every single comic, even the bad ones, kind of autistic? That's what I'm doing anyway. He was always my favorite hero and I already read most of him as a kid anyway.

>anything amazing past back in black in a reccomendations list
>>85785204
Who gives a shit about what is "autistic", don't be that kind of 4chan shitter. They're good comics and if you enjoy 'em keep reading.
Was this any good as well?

>Starting with Blue
Do you want to break his heart or something

I really hate co's recommendation. This is a shit list. Where is Jenkins run on it? He was one of the best spider writers during the dark times of the relaunch.
>>85785708
no skip this crap
>>85784321
>AMS
>>85786635
Return of The Green Goblin and that Venom story he did were fucking great
>>85786760
its missing a lot of good spidey stories. CO's rec is hilariously outdated or just terrible all together.
>>85784321
Disrefard that list. Post-OMD Spidey is non-canon. Read everything up to 1998 then switch to the true ending, Spider-Girl.
>>85787075
It has the Mark Millar Marvel Knights run which was just medicore.
