Really liked El tigre, very nice show.

Wasted potential implies it had the ability to be good but failed to realize it. El Tigre wasn't really wasted potential. It was awesome but short-lived. The only real potential I remember being wasted in it was that Django never made another appearance.

Danny Phantom on the other hand, that was shit was nothing but wasted potential. It was basically Spider-Man crossed with Ghostbusters, but they managed to make the majority of that show be total shit. If it didn't have Maddie for me to sketch smut and cheesecake of, I wouldn't even remember it anymore.

Danny Phantom is basically the Western Bleach, to be honest. Both set themselves apart from their competition with an older cast and a creepy supernatural bent. Both struggled with long-term plotting and character development. Both saw their own aesthetic and selling points dwindle away to nothing as the years wore on and they became cliche action stories. And both were quietly canceled, on a crappy rushed finish where the worst girl won.

I actually loved this show.

Not many shows deal with consistent morality issues in a superhero show. Every superhero show has a "taste of the dark side" episode where they rebel and do all that. El Tigre however had this as a consistent theme where the character could kind of have free reign of both worlds and family members supporting and influencing both views. Also it was neat to see villains try to get Manny to join their side and the viewer could actually say "well he might just do that" unlike any other hero character who would be too righteous in the end.
