What's /co/'s overall thoughts on Dexter's Lab

Positive. Great show.

the first few seasons I thought were some of the most enjoyable and well written kids cartoon in a long time

the plots were great
characters outstanding
atmosphere stunning and
comfy as fuck to watch on any given day

but then the later seasons happened and it turned to shit real fucking quick

I think that the joke is that the show is a parody of the Boy-Genius trope.

If a kid was a super Genius he wouldn't go on wacky adventures with "Yes! Science is cool" as a deus ex-machina who solves everything like magic.

Dexter is pale, antisocial, egotistic, almost insane and has no time for fun. And when his experiments go wrong, they have terrible consequences.

Honestly, I've always loved some of the older episodes (Season 2 and 3 were solid gold if memory serves)

My favorite episode is still this fucker right here.
