People saying that Jasper is irredeemable and is just a villain should look at Peridot. People thought she was a heartless bitch who only wanted to kill Steven and the gang, because she attempted it many time, but that didn't stop the show from making people love her, or attempt at it. She got a redemption arc, so it only makes sense that the same will happen to Jasper. Hell, Jasper even has a sympathetic backstory to boot, which Peridot lacked.

I mentioned this earlier but I think they might be setting her up to bond with Pearl. They're both obsessed and grieving the loss of their beloved leader although of course it is ironic that they're two sides of a war. Pearl had that whole arc about being strong in the real way' which is one of Jaspers character flaws. Plus they've been setting up Steven's ability to help the corrupted gems for a long time now so he may get some time with Jasper.

The only thing about the redemption is that she will have to reconcile with Lapis too, and I can't see her living on the farm with the "outer planet Gems" because of her and Lapis' history. (seriously I don't come here often I don't know what are calling the barn gems?) I really don't want her and Jasper to fuse again. It's not like it was with Pearl and Garnet. I don't think it can be fixed or should be.

Well, she doesn't have any bad experiences with her diamond like Peridot, just the mirror fuckup (which didn't stop her from going back) and Jasper/Peridot (who were YD's) dragging her back to earth. She just doesn't think she would be welcome anymore.

If she got into contact with BD, and BD didn't lose her cool like YD, I could see her convincing Lapis to do something naughty.

She wouldn't kill Steven or do something blatantly traumatizing like destroy Beach City, sure, but if BD claimed she was willing to believe Steven wasn't Rose if she could see it herself? I could see Lapis grabbing him and flying straight to Homeworld at the prospect of getting him a pardon.
