Mario doesn't have a story to begin with other than Galaxy 1. And even then it was basically a more complex "Mario must save Peach" story.

Star Fox is the only answer since at least then we can explore events mentioned in the games we would otherwise never see.

Pretty much. Mario's only got story for stuff like the Paper Mario games and Galaxy.

Still, I'm sure they'll all at least be good, and I'm sure Undertale will sell out by a stupid amount thanks to the fans. Heaven knows Archie need all the support they can get, after their CEOs keep fucking up...

The Sonic games didn't have much story either until Adventure came along. The plot was always Robotnik wants the Chaos Emeralds to rule the world and Sonic has to stop them.

I don't trust Archie. Flynn made Mega Man boring as hell. Knowing Archie, they would find a way to make Mario, Star Fox, and Undertale so boring. And then force a shitty overcluttered crossover. Then all series are put on "hiatus".
