Food wants to go home with a human, hot dog finds out the horrible truth of what happens, tries to tell everybody in the supermarket, violent revenge on humans. That's what the trailers showed and that's exactly what was promised.

Other than the massive religion allegory, the deformed hot dog getting an entire unnecessary subplot/arc, and the forced addition of a traditional "evil" anthropomorphized villain (which makes no sense and goes nowhere since he just ends up teaming up with the humans) it was EXACTLY what the trailers showed. In fact the movie was a fucking slog that dragged to no end because you know going in that food finds out the "terrible truth" so it's really just a ton of dragging, nothing scenes full of unfunny jokes because they don't actually do anything with the knowledge of how humans treat them until the third-to-last scene.

Lowlife degenerate filth. Kids will see this. I hope that kike is happy knowing he'll cause maladaptive sexual behavior in minors.

I had the complete opposite reaction, I expected a really silly but excessive movie that was filthy/dumb/offensive with a hidden cleverness. Something along the lines of a Seth MacFarlane cartoon. Not groundbreaking but at least funny.

Team America is satire. It's dirty, sure, but the jokes are targeted and have a viewpoint, yet still manage to put the punchline itself above preachiness or filth.
