Odd enough, I think that they're building the comeback of a whole, Ultronless, Pym, with all the electricity stuff. He may be dead now, but that doesn't mean he cannot be alive. At least, it looked like they really appreciated him in universe, which is the first step to bring him back. I give him a year. Probably after the ultron run.

None of them interact with one another in ways that are entertaining, interesting or dramatic. What's Rogue's relationship with Brother Voodoo? Or Human Torch's with Cable? Is Wasp frustrated with Quicksilver? Does she have a thing for him? Are their interactions tinged with tension? How does Cable, a man with decades of combat and leadership experience in hellish future landscapes against the likes of Apocalypse and Stryfe handle having to be subordinate to Steve Rogers?

None of that exists in this book, nor in most any team book Marvel puts out. Their team books, like was said, just feel like team ups: a collection of heroes gather to fight things and win so they can fight things while talking like they're in a bad military movie during said fighting. They lack any chemistry at all.

That was the beauty of Claremont's X-Men reading those story times. There were downtime issues and story arcs usually started with the characters lounging around or doing things in every day situations before the situation would slowly work itself in and usually by the end of the first issue, the problem has presented itself and you can get to the action.

But then the actions weren't just long, uninterrupted scenes with all the heroes around the one villain or group of villains in one place. Characters would very often be split up into groups of two or three across a wide area and have to work their way through the problem or villain to get to the center of the whole problem where THEN they could fight the villain and, after their defeat, you would get to see the fallout of it or the characters having to readjust to end the issue.

Duggan's a fine writer on solo characters like Deadpool but reading his Uncanny Avengers stuff just feels so flat.

Not perfect, and while Pymtron ended up leaning closer to a good Ultron story than Pym one, I like prospect of Pymtron still wondering if he's actually Pym on autopilot. Would love to see him further explored more in the future, and at the very least he actually survived.

Tony currently is being a twatwaffle to Peter since Peter is an actual threat to his science machismo now.
He was nicer leading up to the original civil war but at the same time he was actually doing it to secretly sniff out his weaknesses so Tony was merely secretly being a dick to Peter instead of outright being a dick.
Eg. About twoish months ago he made Miles a new pair of webshooters so that he could say Parker's design is bad.
Pym on the other hand is mostly just disappointed in Peter since he realizes that Peter theoretically should be at or above his level but spends his time on street level superheroing instead. If Pym saw Parker industries he would probably be very proud.
