Nightwing doesn't need to have Green Arrow levels of social activism, but I really like that Seeley is tackling this difference in viewpoint, even in passing.

As far as her always thinking shes right Babs has always been like that and thats why she works so well with Dick. Dick was the chosen protege, hand picked by Batman and trained from boyhood to take the mantle, so to compensate he doesn't take most situations seriously and is lighthearted because he was trained his whole life to know how to deal with them.

On the flip side you have Barbara who stole the mantle in the beginning, was repeatedly told by Batman to stop and is always striving to prove herself. She was self trained at first and is learning as she goes, most of it being self taught or second hand from experiences. She has everything to prove and overcompensates by being a know it all bitch. She usually only drops her guard for Dick even when shes with the rest of the Batfamily.
