Steven universe also does this. It's super infuriating. Lars is almost always wrong despite him having good points at least some of the time.

I hate it when shows do that. Any other examples where characters are always in the right via show or writer bias.

No, they got mad at him because he hadn't actually turned over a new leaf and was still an asshole. Additionally, Steven (AKA, the guy the audience is supposed to side with) is shown sympathizing with Lars and feeling bad about what he did.
