2003 (seasons 1-5) > 80's > Back to the Sewer > Nick > 96's Anime > Fast Forward > The Next Mutation

As someone who has read a lot of the comics. I just cannot like the Nick version. Something feels off about the characters and there are too many Deus Ex moments.

Lastly, The 2003 version of April is the best. The Nick and 80's version are poorly written.

Most people don't say that. Most people say it becomes garbage after the first SEASON. And that's only five episodes long, quit being a little bitch. There's later stuff worth watching, but it requires you to separate the wheat from the chaff and even then a lot of people don't have the patience for 80s cartoons. But the first 5 episodes were the ones that had the least censorship - sure there were concessions to common sense like the Foot Soldiers being robots, but at least this was to, y'know, allow the turtles to use their weapons and slice them up. There's never really been a true "oh shit" moment in Nick TMNT because the show makes a habit of bailing its characters out of hairy situations on a regular basis. Very rarely is there not a deus ex machina waiting in the wings when the turtles fuck up really badly.

The reason Northampton is such a loved arc is because it comes on the heels of the turtles losing, and losing very badly.
