Also, why would anyone pledge to this? It's just them trying to squeeze people to get money for a pilot. They still have to shop it around and they've already had zero luck at that. You're basically paying 25k for a half baked episode and a "We'll see".

Like the Wakfu dub for Netflix, the fact that it generated enough interest to raise that much money (assuming the kickstarter succeeds) can be included in any future pitches to tell Nick/CN/Disney/whoever that there is an actual interest in the show.

Has he worked on anything officially? I used to follow him on deviantart back in the day but I'm way too bitter about failed pilots and kick starters. Even having connections or working with studios may give me enough faith.
