I thought he was purposely going for a Batarang crowbar hybrid. Like the mantra behind the story is Batman is on the mother of all rode trips with the world seemingly against him. The "Bat-Bat" is a physical representation of his hit first brood later attitude in this issue.

A lot of people initially thought that this particular Batman was more Grayson than Bruce because of all the bantering. Can't tell if Snyder is trying for a lighter story with a more snarky Batman or if Bruce is purposely overcompensating because deep down he knows that this is legitimatley his last chance to save his friend Harvey.

Kings run is much better cause he actually understands these characters characterization. Snyder doesn't care at all and just writes Bruce like Dick.

Also Romita's use of paneling and subtlities is masterful. The black/white panels, the fact that Two-Face is hidden most of the issue. The additional tweaks to his speech bubbles when he's corrupted by his other half.

For some odd reason, this page just made me feel really sorry for the people of Gotham. As someone pointed out the last time this was storytimed, in the grand scheme of things this was proably a 3-4 on the Gotham shit scale.

Also, I REALLY hope that Snyder goes back and shows exactly how Two-Face was planning on dispensing acid rain all throughout Gotham.

I would be interested to hear indivual's thoughts on what exactly the "house" is. It's established as a physical location outside of Gotham. The location appears to only be known to a couple key indidivuals. This protocol was designed jointly by Bruce and Harvey.

My guesss is that it's Dent's old home that's been retrofitted in someone way to allow for a "talk" between the halves of his psyche. Then again, I could be way off. I'm just hoping this mystery isn't a cop out.

I like the idea of Harvey's plot, but for it to work I think I need to see someone personaly struggling with the potential threat of what Harvey could release. Or at least I'm just think that in the grand scheme of things I wouldn't let Dent bully me by releaseing everything I've ever done on the internet (I wouldn't feel good though).
