Nope, not buying it.

Rose has proven time and again she didn't tell the other CGs anything. Why should just go along with her killing Pink Diamond because they 'saw' her. The same species that can shift their forms, have the technology to warp time and who knows what else.

It's no coincidence Bismuth aired before all this and specifically showed how much Rose didn't want to kill anyone and hid away one of her soldiers with no one knowing she was even alive.

SO what does /co/ think of the whole breaking point drama now? I feel like nothing has changed (aside from the fact that Steven views his mom a little bit less idealistically), and that Steven will never use something like that, or anything for that matter, to kill (if worst comes to worst, they may end up killing more of the Diamonds, but the CG will never resort to shattering other enemy gems). I feel like the mainly tumblrpeople who were going nuts about Bismuth being 'right', defending genecide, thinking the crew is actually racist, and thinking and Steven is being 'overly idealistic' because he doesn't want to murder are going to use and twist what was said in Bubbled to justify their thoughts, and not get the nuance of the situation at all, but I hope I'm wrong.

I'm thinking the other Crystal Gems weren't there when it happened, and when they heard about the fight, Rose went along with the story of her shattering Pink Diamond. Straight up murder doesn't fit with what we've been told about her, but keeping secrets for the good of her people definitely does.

I have a theory, and it may seem cray, but hear me out.

I think that one of Greg's parents, Steven's grandparents, is a Pediatrician. It just makes sense, well at least to me it does. My idea is that way back when Rose and Greg wanted to make a baby, they needed an expert on the subject to help Rose form her body the right way. I don't think Greg knows much about baby making, and it just seems boring if Rose "read it from a book". So they get a baby doctor to help, and it seems like the only way Greg would know one is if he's related to them.
Plus I just really want to see Grandpa and Grandma Universe.

I'd say one obvious thing is Jasper, who's the most interesting unsolved character RIGHT THERE AT THE TEMPLE. Also via dealing with her Steven could improve his mind and corruption healing powers.

What I'd personally would like to see is Jasper interacting with pearl - after all, they're both old Pink Diamond gems, and Pearl, who's of the old Homeworld but is the one who truly learned to surpass the HW role and become her own gem on earth and who hasn't yet interacted with Jasper much at all could be the one to break through to her - hell, maybe she could work through some of her own lingering issues over still having feelings for Rose / her former owner and find a new hulking quartz warrior to love, i don't know.

But a big thing, with the end of the last season showing more and more crap from Rose's past, is obviously going more into who Rose really was and what really went down.

Eventually, they'll have to deal with HW somehow, as YD will send someone else to check on the ruby squad and the cluster and all that.
