I've found out why I hate smokey quartz.

It's not her voice, her shitty design or coloration. No, its HER FUCKING REVEAL. Throughout the entire series we are lead to believe that steven might not even be able to fucking fuse with gems only humans.

The reveal with stevonnie was fucking amazing because it just happened. But with smokey it happened because amethyst was a salty cunt.

It wasn't like they were losing and needed to come back in a fight or they were on the brink of death. No, they just were crying, steven gave a motivational speech and they fucking fused. There was no good build up like garnet, no great sound track like opal. Its just a fucking chiptune fight with the "practical jokester". Guess what, we've seen that twice now, WE HAD AN ENTIRE ARC OVER A PRACTICAL JOKESTER FUSION.

There was no build up, no UMF, no hype when smokey appeared. She just did. The entire series has been building up to that ONE POINT and they squandered it. Plus the fight with jasper was so lack luster i'd rather watch a guinea pig fight a hamster to the death.

I dropped the theory with Bismuth's line last week. My only issue with the whole thing now is

1. Steven is way too powerful to be a quartz, especially compared to Jasper or Amethyst. He has a ridiculous list of extremely powerful powers.

2. Pearl still wears the PD emblem on her flight suit. It seems like something she would have changed the second war broke out, but it's still the same to this day.

Most of the other evidence I don't mind discarding, because it works either way, but those 2 things don't make sense to me.

1. Most, if not all of Steven's powers are defensive. They're good on and off the battlefield, but not so much for actually battling. Rose carried a sword because her gem weapon is a shield and she needed offense. Steven's powers are useful, but not necessarily broken. They wont win battles alone, only support a win.

How come no one has directly called Rose on her shit?

She's the biggest failure out of all of the gems, and everyone that has gotten related to her in one way or another has been shattered, corrupted, or bubbled. Literally only Pearl, Saphire, and Ruby survived the war that Rose started.

Rose directly caused the death and corruption of a majority of her own comrades, the death of gems trying to subdue her rebellion, the death of a diamond, and the lost of purpose in life for gems such as Jasper, Lapis, Bismuth, and possibly other gems yet to be revealed.

Rose is the most selfish, incompetent, self-centered, vain gem. She's was the big fucking bad that is cause of anyone's and everyone's suffering.

1. Steven has a power negating shield, the ability to dream walk, the ability to possess people, the ability to grow an of plants to the point of sentience, and there's no guarantee we've seen all his powers. Most of those powers would completely change the flow of a fight, where as the most of Amethyst and Jasper's powers are strong, but no more than a common foot soldier's level of strength. May I remind you that Steven was able to take down all 3 of the CGs by himself, by accident in Watermelon Steven? Can you imagine if he was actually an enemy of the CGs and was trying to kill them? He's stupid powerful and just hasn't tapped his potential yet. The fact that he stands on even ground with Amethyst while he's still just happening upon new powers randomly with no experience on how to use them shows how ridiculous his power ceiling is.

2. Why would you still wear the uniform of someone who you had to rebel against? Why would you not put any work into changing it? This isn't memorabilia she has stuffed into the corner, she actively chose to wear it when she acts as a pilot. It doesn't seem like the actions of someone who rebelled against the person who the emblem represents.
