Kiara's in an odd place. Her fans from the movie aren't fond of her in the show, as she seems like a completely different character. But her character in the show isn't one who would often go off on adventures with Kion. So she's not seen and not appreciated.

Confirmed. The press release was about recurring voice actors, so Kovu, Nuka and Vitani were confirmed. Zira's voice actress is dead, so even though she wasn't mentioned, it's possible she'll show up.
