Lots of blood vessels in a rabbits ears. Best way to tell if they are too hot, because, just like dogs and other animals, they can't swear and unlike a a dog with the exception of yawning, they can't pant or breath out their mouth, so like horses and deer, tgey only breath out of their nose.

As such if their ears are ice cold, you'd want to take them inside...warm ears are normal but if hot to the touch, they need to be brought inside.
