She is second daughter of some lizard king, that got overthrown in some random war and now she works as a baker. I'm not going into any details, because I'm still playing with the idea. Also Sarah is nice name, but I'm not 100% of it either because her sister name is Nahid which has Persian origin so it doesn't really match with her's but all the sisters have different mothers so it could work.

Personality Wise
Jimmy:Headstrong and stubborn.Edgy towards most things, but is warming up as he goes along,likes a sport?
Jim's Mom:Naieve and harmless on the outside, but is quite streetsmart. probably hiding something. Doting on her son to make up for time she wasn't there.
Snek Gal:Quite skillful, but very lazy,would rather take the easy way out.a bit vain.
Rival:Arrogant and flamboyant, thinking what he does is always right , playing on the wrong team. Gullible.

The rival can work if she starts out an insanely strong Dragon-Tail that Jimmy can't outright defeat. For the most part he'd have to defeat her by wit rather than strength. Meanwhile I imagine the mother as a secret badass than can curbstomp the rival effortlessly, but chooses not to because she wants Jimmy to learn how to use his abilities.

Jimmy'so headstrong attitude gives him an edge when it comes to physical things. He's quite strong for his size. But it impedes his progress innate dragon tail abilities.
