Balto is a pretty decent movie. It's not great and more than half of the characters are annoying but the action sequences are phenomenal. Also Jenna is the one of the best dog waifus of all time.

Balto 2 is hilariously mediocre. The second half is more entertaining than the first because fucking David Carradine shows up. The ending is also unusually mature with Balto's daughter leaving to never be seen again.

Balto 3 is better than Balto 2 but worse than Balto 1. Highlights include a sexy goose with Leela's voice and Balto's son Kodi who is at one point in the film willing to let a man freeze to death in the wilds of Alaska in order to keep his job.

I still can't believe that all that had happened. As a kid, I left that shit because I wanted to do typical teen crap and they also scared me a little. Unpopular opinion...

Balto 1 kind of sucked. Balto himself is too much of a passive and submissive protagonist to be likable. He doesn't fight back against Steele and is on a mission to save a town that hates him. It just makes him look lame....like Naruto.

Sequel was better IMO. Aleu is a better protagonist because she had self-respect.

Funny thing is the dog Steele was based on, who was named Togo, was the one who did the hard part of the sled ride to deliver the medicine. The real Balto did do some of the run too, but the one he did was less dangerous and shorter than what Togo had to do. The general public preferred Balto's story.

Funny that he went nowhere in life, but I guess the dude was disillusioned with Balto and his band. In his golden rant, which I can't find, he talks about "finding his partner" which would be a male husky. In his youtube channel, he has a video of one of his friends playing with a husky. i saw balto two when i was at daycare and it opened with the scene where hes running out onto the frozen lake chasing the bird and i was so scared he would fall in the ice and die and i wanted him to find what he was looking for but then he woke up and it was just a dream but it was a recurring dream because it kept happening and happening and each time he kept getting further across the frozen lake and seeing new things and i was too little to understand the dialogue so I though he had lost all his dog friends and each night he was transported to the spirit world where he tried to find them but he kept getting lost over and over and waking up and doing it all over again and i was so sad for him and thought he was stuck in a nightmare loop he could never escape and he would never see his friends again or he was in dog heaven and reliving the moment of his death repeatedly and it made me cry

Yeesh. I thought Balto was just a fun kid's movie. Not a freakish internet sub culture filled to the brink with weirdos and psychopaths.

The real Balto is stuffed at a museum in Cleveland.

First one was alright, had an ending that made me cry as a kid.
Second one was inferior and had the "we gotta make it a musical" syndrome. Yet the ending got me teary eyed.
Have not seen the third one, but read the plot synopsis on wikipedia, it sounds better than the other sequel.
