Here are 43 reason why Ennis sucks, and is the worst Punisher writer, and any other Punisher writer was better than Ennis, including the infamous writer who wrote Punisher as Preacher.
Behold, Punisher storytime
Fuck ennis, suck my pennis
>>85188145
>>85188161
Ennis is shit
>>85188242
Anyone who likes Ennis is a virgin neet
>>85188260
Ennis is complete garbage.
>Chuck Dixon
>Mike Baron
>Or any other pre-Ennis tosser
No one holds a candle to Ennis when it comes to writing The Punisher.
>>85188272
If you like Ennis, kill yourself
>>85188294
>>85188284
Word. This is an ennis hate thread.
Why? Because normies only read ennis-punisher
>>85188314
Ennis cannot write punisher. His superman also sucks balls
>>85188333
If you like ennis, chances are, you never read a single comic book in your life
>>85188354
I tried to understand people who like ennis, then I realized that they are child fiddlers. Just like ennis
>>85188369
I mean, ennis is actually illiterate. It's actually his mother that writes under his name.
proof

>>85188393
I mean, how much you have to be a loser, to use words like "wanker" "bloody" "tosser"

>Ennis haters are illiterate

>>85188413
Ennis haters are right. You are an idiot. I beat that you don't ever read the comic I posted. You're just here to defend your shitty husbando, you faggot
>>85188431
And being illiterate is nothing compared to being ennis. I mean, being ennis is like being ultra-retarded illiterate, who constantly poops himself and says "rape? cin ah raep?"
it's ennis in a nutshell
>>85188314
>Because normies only read ennis-punisher
I really hate that bit. True, it isn't mandatory for someone to read everything ever written about a character, but everyone seems caught up in the whole "Punisher sucked before Garth Ennis."
>>85188465
I wouldn't be surprised if ennis lovers were fags with small dicks, who are on social welfare. Just like ennis is. Marvel pays him with food coupons.
>>85188487
>>85188486
shhh.. just let it vent. If you want me to storytime some Punisher story, I can do it. I was thinking about doing some graphic novel, but I'm not sure if I should. I'm only doing this storytime, because I've just re-read some of the stuff I own, and I thought
"man, fuck ennis, the HACK"
>>85188519
ennis is literally bendis-tier.
but bendis at least doesn't pretend to be superior to others.
>>85188536
And the truth is, ennis is the future you choose

It's depressing how many faggots are inspired by ennis. Literally two of them. But still...

Hohow dark is it where you are? Because your head is pretty far up your own ass.
>>85188582

the fact that you think that ennis is somehow more acceptable than bendis speaks for itself
read some proper comics, not garbage, you human toilet
>>85188628
ennis is responsible for a lot of bad things happening in comic books. it's funny, because he tries to retract from some of his over-the-top inventions. too little, too late

I have time on my hand. Removing cancer from /co/ is not a mission, it's a blessing
Was a little busy, doing my duty to anyone who disrupts storytime. It's funny how it's easy to piss off ennisfags. It's like they are insecure or sth
>>85188817
it will take time before I continue.
apparently, ennisfags are too butthurt
>>85188284
Dixon was in the same ballpark easily.
>>85188841
you can bring it on ennisfags. the more you come, the more will be banned
>>85188874
It's nice that idiots keep bumping, though
I don't agree but it is nice to see someone post non-Ennis Punisher for once.
>>85188893
but then again, it's not like ennisfags ever cared about storytime. nope, they only care about their edge
>>85188921
if you agree than do your duty and report the disrupters. And I might storytime for a thread or two. Otherwise, won't bother

>>85188944
Ah. It feels nice to speak some truth in a while
>>85188966

I feel relieved. I recommend it to anyone. Doing a storytime is very refreshing. It can cleanse your soul
>>85188782
I like this man.
>disrupting a storytime
That's pretty fucked up you guys. OP is entitled to shitpost in his own thread no matter how stupid his opinions may be. You don't have to agree with him, just hide the thread.
>>85189198
that's ennisfags for you
>>85189198
I don't remember the last time a storytime was disrupted that much. It feels... disturbing to say the least.
>>85189256
Well, your butthurt is very transparent, though
>>85189223
I never said he did idiot. You can shitpost right back but you don't have to drive up the image limit to do it. That's just bad form and encourages disrespectful behavior in other storytimes no matter how much you disagree with his opinions or attitude.
>>85188314
Normies don't read Ennis punisher
They just watch the movies
>>85189302
You're wasting your time. There are sacred cows on /co/, and anyone who offends them, must bePunished
>>85189339
I will remember that next time Dan Dashly storytimes something.
>>85189412
I'm not sure what you're trying to prove, other than being a drama queen
Nice to know that Ennis casuals really are just trying to ruin this board.
Based MODS. Based Janitors
>>85189489
OP here. Yeah, that was my point. Since we got the shit deleted, I can storytime something more.
Any Punisher-wishes? Or should I surprise you with something extra?
>>85189339
No, remember where YOU are. It's long been considered bad form to post images during a storytime. It doesn't matter how much of a cunt OP is being, he has every right to express his shitty opinions. You can express yours too but you don't have to post images to do it. That's just fucked up.
>>85189519
Do you have his first appearance? It was in Spider-Man right? I'd love to read that. Also we've got your back so maybe cut back on the Ennis baiting and just post some good alternative Punisher?
>>85189198
Then either do a storytime right or shut the fuck up. Just post the comic and shoot the shit with other anons. I don't want to hear someone constantly bitch. But I do appreciate all the other kind anons who storytime and aren't massive cunts.
That was a cool story time.
Also, how is posting artwork shitposting?
ah fuck, wrong issue, will delete asap
>>85189669
Or you know, you can just like ignore his comments.
Okay, again. Something mixed up with the files
I will storytime more Nam, and then first appearance of Punisher
>>85189669
No one is making you listen. You don't have to read or post in his thread. If you can't handle his cuntiness then just fuck off and hide the thread. Otherwise you're basically proving his stupid point and making yourself look like a total ass.
>>85189735
>>85189734
the urge to defend his husbando is too strong.
Still, I'm too chickenshit to insult morrisonfags, if I can be honest. I might be an asshole, but I'm not crazy
>>85189669
Then hide the thread nigga what the fuck. We're trying to read here.
>>85189760
>>85189781
>>85189796
but morrisonfags are certainly another group for execution, though
>>85189701
You're not supposed to post images during a storytime because it drives up the image limit. It's bad enough to post on-topic images without the OP's permission but spamming off-topic shit just because you don't like the guy's attitude is absolutely shitposting.
>>85188284
I liked Mike Baron because he had Punisher kill left wing libtard nutjobs
>>85189813
>>85189840

Ennis is incapable of writing a character, without making said character a parody of himself.

Nah I think we will be assholes for the rest of our life. We are cut from the same cloth.

>>85190068
>you win some battles, but you also lose some.
True
>>85190103
>>85190095
I'm a little busy, but his characters feel like a caricature. I can post my explanation, but it will slow the storytime.
But for starters: a cop that has incestuous sex with his mother. A guy that calls himself an elite and kills poorfags? And last, but not least, The Punisher, everything that Ennis actually hates, but writes him, because it gives him cheap laughs.
>>85190164
>>85190204
>>85190067
>lurk more
I have been here long enough. Maybe you should take your own advice.
The only Ennis stuff i liked was Hellblazer. Never thought anything else he has done was good. His ghost rider was...ok at times. But nothing I've read of his has actually made me care. That is besides Dangerous Habits, which is the definitive hellblazer run.
Too bad he couldn't find that magic again
>>85190225
>>85188145
TIL the guy who made Nexus and the Badger was a long-time Punisher writer.
>>85190131
Buddy, /co/ is love was a meme perpetuated by self-righteous tripfags. I know, I was here.
Doesn't change the fact that posting in a storytime is bad fucking form and the mods clearly agree.
And that's the last I'll say on the subject, I'm trying to fucking read so either shut up and do the same or fuck off.
>>85190242
>>85190241
he was very young when he wrote most of his acclaimed works. he literally had a milk under his nose. there was a video with various writers from the 90s taht featured ennis, but I don't remember the title
For me, ennis was always someone who was a kid, but tried hard to fit among the adults
>>85190164
>Everything that Ennis hates
most comic book writers are liberals who despise the concept of superheroes, so what?

>And that's the last I'll say on the subject, I'm trying to fucking read so either shut up and do the same or fuck off.
Take your own advice. You ignore me. You can fuck off too, you self-righteous ass.
>>85190284
His Punisher completely lacks any empathy and is more of a machine than a human being.
Some folks might argue that it actually works, but for me, what made Punisher great was that he was actually very relatable, it's just that Punisher, being a comic book character was unbeatable, because popularity, but also, because he was a comfy power fantasy.
>>85190327
>>85190292
This is a new opinion that became popular on /co/ few years ago.
cont. next post
>>85190353
frankly, I might be wrong in this case (albeit I'm right in case of ennis), but I'm sure that a liberal in 70s meant something completely else than liberal in 10s XXI century
>>85190403
>>85190327
I like that idea that there are infinite amounts of characters, because each writer handles the character differently. No version is the same.
>>85189838
>>85189874
Baron is a hardcore liberal and has TONS of liberal content in his comics. He just has a sick sense of humor. If Punisher was killing liberals then it was likely meant to be satire.
>>85190424
after that there will be Nam 67-69 AND
Amazing Spider-Man 129
>>85190446
>>85190427
yeah, that's why I love the comic books and love reading them
>>85190441
Really? Maybe that's why he is a great writer, because he wasn't afraid of pulling the punches, and he wasn't afraid of criticizing certain bullshit.
It will sound like cliche, but if more liberals were like him, I don't think anyone would have problem with them, because the main problem with modern liberals is that they need to lighten up, because they treat everything DEAD serious.
Like when someone posts "you faggot" on the internet, there is a whole wave of outrage and deep concern
>>85190507
>>85190441
In mike baron's last issue of Punisher War Journal, he has Punisher defending Rush Limbaugh from PETA terrorists. How can that be satire?
>>85190527
>>85190353
>>85190403
Being liberal and conservative have completely changed meanings in the past 30 years. But it is true that artistic creators tend to lean to social liberal ideas. It has nothing to do with economic policies though, which is just dumbed down politics for the media to exploit these days
>>85190549
>>85190563
>>85190553

No. It's literlly because it is easier. People are lazy, especially when it comes to complicated things like politics. And i think a two party system enforces that. In canada we have a few options, to it forces people to try and pick apart the differences more.

I spoilored at least most of thr nudity, may have missed a page but god damn why is it a crime to show a nipple. It wasn't porn or anything and this board nor is any 4chan board safe for work. They should have a rule that nudity is fine if it is in a storytime.
>>85191902
They banned storytimer of The Boys. After opening a thread for that one mod said they banned him by mistake but I am not so sure. But well I could see the end of The Boys today. This is a Ennis hate thread halfly but I liked it and that is not the point.
You just have to spoiler the nude and gory things and be careful. Even after that if you get banned anyone in /co/ has to react. It worked one time. And there are so much worse things even /aco/ tier stuff I mean.
>>85191742
some might argue that those who create one-note threads about ennis being a poopyhead aren't really in the position to critique anyone else; but not me , i think it's funny - proceed
>>85192093
I mean, comic books can be treated literally, or be treated
>>85192104
>nor is any 4chan board safe for work
this is very true. I mean, if you had a nip-slip, it shouldn't be a deletion offense, maybe warning
the thing is, if you can't storytime it here, and certainly can't storytime it on /aco/, then where the hell can you storytime it?
>>85192030
Dude have you seen the gore people wear on t shirts? Ever seen a cannibal corpse t shirt? People wear far more extreme shit. And skulls are vanilla UFC shit now a days
>>85192148
>>85192141
Interesting. I ignored this thread (as opposed to some ennisfags here), and wondered if it meant that there is a new policy in the town.
>>85192221
>>85192143
well, as long as you read the comic and are entertained, I don't care about anything else.
I feel better about posting my dislike towards ennis.
It felt like having a kinky fetish
>>85192249
>>85192172
speaking of CC, they also had some comic books released, but I don't think they will be ever storytimed
>>85192291
>>85192333
>>85192172
you're missing my point. it's not extreme or anything. it's a jumpsuit with a giant skull. that is goofy and silly. it's because he was created to be alongside Spider-Man and the Jackal, of all the fucking villains. he had to fit in.
there's a reason so much modern stuff avoids that and just has him in clothes and a skull t-shirt.
>>85192357
>>85192143
what can i say blud - snark ftw
>>85192379
Lmao what is this thread
>>85192412
>>85192369
why do you hatefun
comic books have some symbolism.
it's not supposed to be deep, but overthinking certain things takes you away from the story itself.
when you try to rationalize everything, you fall into the trap of making the book dull and dour.
comic books should have certain flair, flashiness to them. otherwise, what's the point?
>>85192458
>>85192221
Ban happened but it was stil lifted. And it is more graphic than almost any heavy metal mag, like i said ennis nudity is fine other stuff not so. I wast banned for posting spoilered Requiem. So next time i storytimed it i went to /tg/ and didn't spoiler anything. But it didnt matter cause it was a good comic and was loved.
I should just do more heavy metal storytimes on /tg/
>>85192291
Didn't know thatn i know GWAR had some. Would love to see that storytimed
>>85192489
>>85192514
>>85192506
Gwar comics have messy art, half of the time you don't know whether it's a spleen flying, or elbow
>>85192541
also, RIP Brockie
I can't handle the sheer EDGE of this OP
>>85192564I'll probably have to start a new thread
>>85192369
Dude, that isn't even crazy or anything. A skull on a jumpsuit is nothing. Look at all the people that costume nearly everyday like emos and goths. Hell i have a friend that decided to make devil horns and wear them for the fuck of it. Yes he is edgy but also extremly talented artistically and it looked great
>>85192599
but not now
>>85192625
>>85192595
I was only mimicking ennis
I am capable of being very eloquent if I want to.
>>85192641
I do kinda wonder if I did the right thing with starting a storytime. It's addicting, and I feel like a slave to posting pictures

>>85192707
>>85192678
I've enjoyed to convorastion but have to leave you. Already stsyed up too late and had one more beer than i should have. Enjoy the rest of your thread.
>>85192736
I mean, I would love to storytime
"A Man Named FRANK"
and
"Blood on the Moors" by fucking Alan Grant / and fucking Cam Kennedy
>>85192770
>>85192763
European? It's even later here where I dwell
And I have to wake up in 8 hours from now
>>85192506
I had to open a thread and get banned because of opening an off-topic thread. There were still risks. We discussed about carrying the storytime to /aco/ or some place like that. Especially at the time when Herogasm get storytimed. It was like walking on thin ice. But it is finished at last.
We should talk with mods more about this I think. Because banning comics because of some stuff but keeping those cheesecake threads is totally bullshit.
>>85192458
that is hardly overthinking and doesn't take away from the fun of those books?
>>85192620
i'm not attacking the dude! He originates from a fucking green demon dude obsessed with clones hires him to kill a 20something who dresses like a spider and swings around the city. with that origin he can have goofy ass stories but he can also have serious ones because the character has range.
>>85192800
>>85192824
>that is hardly overthinking and doesn't take away from the fun of those books?
it's the same as when someone on /x/ tries to tell a spooky story, and then some party pooper posts
"fake and gay"
>>85192844
>but he can also have serious ones because the character has range.
Exactly, but it doesn't mean that the skull is goofy. It's not any more goofy than "People=Shit" t-shirts
>>85192879
>>85192906
>>85192920
I should probably start a new thread, but I hate wasting the image limit, especially that there are more stuff in waiting for a storytime

isn't /x/ supposedly real shit? this is comics, we know it's fake. there's a difference between "Punisher's origin in comics comes out of blah" and "Punisher couldn't work because irl blah would happen"
>>85192879
well it's not just the skull, i'm including the jumpsuit whole ensemble really.

anyway, after Nam, Blood of the Moors, and after that either Hearts of Darkness, or Man Named Frank

I'll take some water, and we can continue
Alan Grant & Cam Kennedy

How can you tell you're reading a Garth Ennis comic?
