The problem is that such an attitude necessitates a degree of competence and cleverness and discipline, all of which -- let's face it -- not many on this site have. Because it takes effort to fix a flaw; so when your main flaw is being so depressed and shiftless that you cannot ever get anything done, then what?

Even if you really want to, there's always some overriding thing in your brain keeping you from just pulling the trigger already.

This has always been my reason for not evnding it.

You die and that's it. Game over. You lost and now you can enjoy your prize of a shit, short life capped by endless nothingness.

But so long as you're still living and capable, you can make steps towards change and life's circumstances can also change. There's always hope, regardless of how bleak things look because life is hope in its purest sense.

The fact that you're even alive means that you have a chance to be and do better and I'll be damned if I squander that because right now things don't look so hot.

As long as you're alive, you have the option to die and it will eventually become an inevitability. If you die, you do not have the option to go back to life if it turns out death isn't so great. Might as well wait it out.

Live because eventually you will be dead anyway.Do stuff in the meantime and try to see if there are things that are worthwhile.Telling myself I could kill myself next week,next month etc literally was the reason I recovered eventually.

Season 3 was awful. I hope someone on the show reads these threads or is the one making them twice a week so they know how much I hate them.

I wonder if all the anons and stories saying Hollywood is really as horrible as it's portrayed in Bojack are actually right.
