Season 1 I struggled with. I felt there was promise to the series but something didn't click. Wow, did season 2 address basically every criticism I had with the show. It was so nice to see a series have clear and consistent improvement in writing.

What did I like? Season 7. With the drug dealers and Archer is in the trunk of the car. They call him in the middle of a fight but everyone at the P.I. agency thinks it is one of his prank voicemail messages and then you see him in some crazy fight. It was a glorious sequence.

I don't think it ever really sucked. A few dips, but it's always been funny. Though I suppose it depends on your tolerance/affection for call-backs and running gags.

While archer it's still super funny, can't help but feel the dialogue in season 1 and 2 is VASTLY superior, seriosly you could close your eyes and just hear and the show still works, which is something that doesn't happen anymore, also it feels like Adam Reed really finds it difficult to write funny characters appart from the core group (and barry) which is...odd seeing how in frisky dingo EVERYONE was a laugh riot

i really really like season 1 and 2, and most of 3. about half way through 3 is when i started getting sick of the constant running jokes. now im on 4 and ive kinda completely lost interest. there are still good episodes but idk, it feels like gum thats lost its flavor for me. guess i'll keep going though, maybe i'll feel differently later on.

i swear though, every time they say "phrasing" it just feels so forced and unfunny now.

He already has, even if it nearly knocked him unconscious. And then there's last season where he accidentally, then knowingly, drank barbicide. So, yeah. He's not too picky.

i was really scared it wouldn't get picked back up after i read an article that the latest season was probably their last.
the cliffhanger ending was a shot to the tits because having Archer go out with a whimper is frustrating.

Glad to know it has 2 (or 3?) new seasons signed; sad to hear the number of episodes have been halved.
