We need more magical girl inspired series. Lots of cartoons like Steven Universe, Rainbow Brite, WITCH, Star Vs, and Winx Club are inspired by them yet magical girl anime are rarely dubbed anymore. There hasn't been one on American tv since Doremi and Tokyo Mew Mew. I don't get why girl animed cartoons and animes are so hard to air on tv.

Is the concept of demographics absurd to you? Some stuff are just not unisex aimed. Jem and Strawberry Shortcake are aimed at girls. Ben 10 and Transformers are aimed at boys. It doesn't mean you can't like Jem if you're a boy or you can't like Transformers if you're a girl. It just means they're aimed at different demographics.

The problem is when companies backlash against people outside their demographic. Many cartoons get canceled because a lot of girls like it.

Not cancellation, but lots of shows had to go through changes to appease certain criteria. Motorcity for example, originally had Tennie as a main character and a Burner (along with one more chick) which would've meant a 1:1 female:male ratio in the group. But, they were forced to bring it down to one female character (our Julie) because the original idea would've had "too many girls in a boys' show".
