Can someone explain the moral or goal of Homestuck to me? I'd heard it was Hussie going for some kind of mystical Creation Myth through his storytelling, but that angle seems to be very seldomly touched upon, so much so in fact that they create their universe/civilization offscreen and everything to do with the idea of them being like ancient Myths is sidestepped entirely.

The central theme in Homestuck is to accept this and come to terms with it. Even if there are countless other universes out there, creating one is pretty awesome. To be humbled by the wonders of Paradox Space, and still take pride in the little bubble that you share with your friends, is what Homestuck is really about.

My issue, thematically speaking, with Homestuck is that we never get a sense of the broadness of the universe because of how insular it is.

Everything is ironic remixes and copies, which makes the impression that everything really DOES revolve around you. Like how the retcon exists.... for some reason, and how it can fundamentally shatter the fabric of reality but no one ever decides to do so because it's easier to pretend you didn't replace your friends with similar counterparts that way.
