Seriously question, /co/, but how are organizations like the Hellfire Club, HYDRA, AIM, et cetera, allowed to exist? Like, I know "oh, you can wipe out the heads, but they'll just get replaced," but how many times has the heads been removed? How have the X-Men not just completely erased the Hellfire Club from the face of the Earth? Same with HYDRA and AIM. Hell, how do these groups even get membership? It's not like ISIS where they get poor, uneducated people mad about being bombed -- AIM is full of scientists and HYDRA is composed of the average person. Like, yeah, the first and second time, those organizations could convince people to join, but when it's like the TWENTIETH time the organization 's head quarters was blown up by the Avengers, with the death toll being in the thousands, you would think people would look at them and go "Yeeeeah, no." You can't even argue that the organizations make money. Like, where is all that money coming from? How many stories have there been of the Avengers taking out the businessmen, politicians, and financiers of these organizations? I'm pretty sure working as a garbage man makes more money, and is less stressful.

And don't get me started on why it is okay for the Avengers to freaking dump vats of acid on HYDRA agents (i.e. the average citizen that may have been coerced or threatened to join), but when they fight a named villain or a female agent? They instead use non-lethal tactics and say, "You're under arrest!"
